SPCM 207 Analysis of Screen Genre
General introduction to the theory and analysis of film and television genre; detailed study of one or two representative types of genres (genres vary from term to term). Considers aesthetic, ideological, cultural, and historical views of genre. Students are required to view a limited number of films and television programs outside of class. 3 hours.
