ANTH 266 African Film and Society



Introduction to African cinema as a contemporary art form and as a window on the social and cultural realities of Africa. The course will include discussion of modern African culture, the African film industry, and African cinema as an art form and as popular entertainment. (Cross-listed as AFST 266.) 3 hours.

This course satisfies the General Education Criteria for a
